Fall
Walking in a new park. Checking out places for senior photos…am I nuts? Maybe, maybe not.
We’ll see.
Reinvention…There’s a college for that….
Today, work is slow–oh there is always something to do, but not the interesting stuff–so I have been doing a little digging. Feeling a little maudlin (you know, I am 50 now so I think it’s okay) and have been feeling a little like “a change would do you good”, for me not you….
So, in all of my soul searching today, I looked up the word reinvention because I didn’t know if it needed a hyphen (it does not) and was directed to a website that talked about a reinvention college. I am behind the times! It really doesn’t surprise me with all the layoffs and the crazy economy that someone would think of this type of college. But really? Can’t we just get motivated and “just do it”?
Sigh….guess not. No wonder I keep looking.

A Green Bowl. A Green Chair. A Camera.
The bowl came to me as a donation for a dinner. The donor stated simply, “just throw it away when you’re finished–we just use it for popcorn.” The dinner was finished, the days turned into weeks. The bowl sat on my kitchen counter, waiting. Then was moved to the top of my dryer, more waiting. Why couldn’t I just throw it away? Maybe it was the popcorn thing. (I have a thing for popcorn!) I couldn’t imagine this family not having their popcorn bowl. Maybe it was the whole “green” thing–reuse, reduce, recycle, I hung onto it. Finally, the mom needed to bring something else to me. It was my chance. I sent an email telling her to please take the present on the chair.
It worked. It was gone a few hours later.
